Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA)

A mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist is a diuretic drug which antagonizes (or blocks) the action of aldosterone at mineralocorticoid receptors. This is the primary class of drug used to treat primary aldosteronism. Spironolactone and Eplerenone are MRAs.
