Areas of Practice: Dr. Péchère is an associate professor of nephrology and hypertension at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG). After obtaining her FMH in nephrology, she did clinical research in hypertension and worked as one of the pioneers in research of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. From there, observing a clear asymmetry in physiological and pathophysiological knowledge between men and women, she endeavors to show the influence of endogenous and exogenous female steroid hormones on the regulation of arterial pressure, sodium homeostasis, and renal hemodynamics. Head of the Hypertension Unit at HUG, she also heads the Swiss Society of Hypertension. She has been a Lecturer in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Community Health and Medicine since 2007,
