University of Calgary

Endocrine Hypertension Clinic at Foothills Medical Centre

The University of Calgary has a very active primary aldosteronism program with a dedicated PA clinic run by four PA-focused endocrinologists, two adrenal surgeons and an interventional radiologist who does all of their adrenal venous sampling (AVS) procedures. You will find the University of Calgary’s Endocrine Hypertension Clinic at the Foothills Medical Center, shown in the photo. The AVS program has been in place now for 20 years.  The clinic is doing about 8 to 10 AVS procedures per month with a published success rate of 97%. Referrals to the clinic may be addressed to either Dr. Gregory Kline or Dr. Alex Leung at University of Calgary. In Canada, most provincial health programs will pay for health care that is delivered in other provinces and so travel to a major AVS center should be possible.
