The Ottawa Hospital

Hypertension Clinic at The Ottawa Hospital Riverside Campus

The Ottawa Hospital offers comprehensive, high quality, patient-focused health-care services in both official languages to a community of 1.3 million people in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, and also accepts patients from across Canada. The Riverside Campus is home to the Kidney Research Centre. The center was established in 2000 and is the first place in Canada dedicated to kidney research. The research scientists and nephrologists on staff have been on the forefront in research into resistant hypertension and primary aldosteronism. The hospital treats a high volume of patients with PA each year, and offers both AVS and adrenalectomy. Patients with suspected or confirmed primary aldosteronism are seen first at the Hypertension Clinic run by the Nephrology Department at the Riverside Campus.
