Padova University Hospital (Azienda Ospedale Università Padova) is a 1,200-bed research and teaching hospital that has worked in close association with the University of Padova and its medical school since at least the 16th century. It is the second oldest university hospital in Europe, and in collaboration with the university, one of the world’s foremost centers for medical research. For more than two decades, the hospital has been a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of primary aldosteronism. It continues to conduct several clinical trial each year that help to improve the standards of care for patients with PA. The diagnosis process begins at the Center for Arterial Hypertension at Medical Clinic IV.
