The National Hospital Organization (NHO) Kyoto Medical Center is a 600-bed hospital in Fushimi, Kyoto. It has been designated by Japan as a highly specialized medical facility for endocrine and metabolic diseases (quasi-national center), a core medical facility for growth medical care, and a specialized medical facility for cancer, cardiovascular, sensory organs, and kidney disease. It is also designated as a regional cancer medical treatment base hospital. Its research facilities host four departments and 14 laboratories.
