The Institute of Cardiology (Instytut Kardiologii im. Prymasa Tysiąclecia Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego) is the main Polish clinical center of cardiology and cardiosurgery. Being a dynamically developing academic and research center, it plays an important role in research, postgraduate training and education in cardiology. The institute treats some 15,900 in-patients and 62,300 out-patients each year. The Department of Hypertension, which diagnoses and treats patients with primary aldosteronism, is under the direction of Professor Andrzej Januszewicz.
