The Hippokration Hospital of Thessaloniki (Ιπποκράτειο – Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης in Greek) is the largest hospital in the Balkans. It is part of Greece’s national health system and serves as a primary, secondary, and tertiary care center available to all Greek citizens. The Hypertension Center in the Department of Nephrology treats one of the largest numbers of patients with resistant hypertension and primary aldosteronism in Europe. It is also certified by the European Society of Hypertension as an excellence centre.
